BASS Central Open – Final Day

We caught back up with Power Tackle Pro Keith Combs after the final round on Texoma.  Here’s how it went down.  Combs said day two was “a perfect day”.  Clouds and wind helped line up a shallow cranking bite and that’s the game he likes to play.  He caught them on days one and 3 on a green pumpkin Strike King Perfect Plastic. 11.30 on day three found Keith with an empty live well after fishing some areas he had saved for the final.  He rolled back to a point he started on and caught 2 keepers quick (on the worm) then headed to a creek he was saving, but it yielded no bites....

Combs Hot Streak Continues at Bassmaster Open

Keith Combs talked to Wired2Fish via telephone while he was driving out to start practicing at Texoma last week. He told Jason that he intends to fish the Elite Series next year if he locks up an invite and he's also eyeing one of the two Classic berths available through the Central Opens. Keith Combs leads on Day Two of 2010 Central Open # 3

Courtesy bassmaster.com DENISON, Texas -- Keith Combs consistency carried him to the top of the leaderboard on the second day of the final 2010 Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Central Open on Lake Texoma. Combs of Del Rio, Texas, registered one of only five limits Friday -- up from three on Thursday -- which weighed 11 pounds, 10 ounces, upgrading his two-day total to 20-6.
